Mallard ducks spend a lot of time in the water but they need a bath too. When Mallard Ducks take a bath they make quite a splash. When I came upon this group of Mallards splashing up a storm, I thought they were fighting but after watch and photographing for a while I concluded they were just having fun taking a bath.

Hi Paul, Great shot! Without seeing this photo, I always thought Mallards had totally brown bodies but NOT so . . . they’re quite handsome with the white feathers beneath their wings and a white breast.
