Snowfall and a very generous helping of birdseed and sunflowers near the Burnaby Lake Nature House combined to make the normally shy and reclusive Varied Thrush bold. 7-8 of these colorful fall and winter songbirds were vocalizing and feeding nearby–offering wildlife paparazzi great views and photo ops on Boxing Day 2016.
