This juvenile Ruby-throated hummingbird was visiting my backyard feeder for a tasty sip of sugar water when the sprinkler system turned on. (S)he quickly changed from eating to relishing in the sudden “change in weather” by taking a shower. I just happened to have my camera set up at the time and was able to catch her/him thoroughly enjoying it’s impromptu bath. I got a number of good shots, but liked this one the best because (s)he is flapping her wings, amidst the splashing water, as well as the water droplets both on the hummingbird as well as on the bottom of the feeder.
