I had a blind set up near a feeder and birdbath in my back yard one spring day. heard a bit of commotion to my left and looked over to see an adult male starling on a low perch, preening. The color of his feathers in the overcast light was truly amazing. Nothing like the dull black one normally associates with this common, invasive bird.
