Description

On a windy day at Broad Meadows Marsh, we saw six red-tailed hawks emerging above the tree line at the same time . Most of them were immature and they circled together over the marsh, diving in the wind and intersecting each other path. One of the young birds did not seem pleased when another one flew too close and unceremoniously shoved it out of its way. I was startled by the attack, but both hawks resumed their soaring right after the unfriendly encounter.
