Description

I was walking along a nature trail when I happened across a pair of Sandhill Cranes. One of them strolled deeper into the pond until he was a couple of feet deep. And then the show began! There was lots of wing flapping and diving underwater. It was quite the scene! I like how you can see the nictitating membrane (have to protect the eyes with all that splashing) and how the water is running off of his feathers.
