Description

Usually, the purpose of putting out (Peanut-butter) Suet is to attract birds to our back-yard so we can enjoy them enjoying the extra calories but this year we have attracted a first year Baltimore Oriole too. This is the second time a first year Baltimore Oriole has made our feeding station their home for the winter. Suet isn’t just for desert, this bird, who didn’t migrate south, will depend on suet (as well as jelly) for survival to get through this cold winter.

Really nice of you to help this Baltimore oriole survive the winter. Great shot

Thanks Mary Ann, “Our” Oriole has been here every day for over a month now. Hoping spring comes early!
