Description

There are 9 to 13 Wild Turkeys that come by and eat. They not only get in the trees but also eat fruit!! Specifically they eat from my Honeyberry plant, Lonicera caerulea. The American Robins and Yellow-bellied Sapsuckers also have eaten from these plants in my yard. Wonder if the Sapsucker got the idea from the Turkeys?? Anyway, in addition to eating sunflower seeds, the turkeys eat fruit. This Wild Turkey was comfortable enough to be preening her feathers while in the tree. They stay for a while, scratch around, and then move on.

Turkey In The Tree

It was a rainy, cloudy day but the turkeys come out anyway searching for fruit and berries.
