During this time of the year we have about 300 or more Turkey Vultures that roost a block from me at Frontera Audubon. It is spectacular to watch them soaring above in the early morning in search of food. In the evening I love to watch them ride the thermals in the sky as they wind down for the day like the one I photographed here very close to my roof!
