Description

I never know what birds I will see when I go out for a walk. Sometimes I find birds I have never seen before. This White-eyed Vireo was just such a bird. I knew it was a “lifer” even before I saw it – from its unusual song. I had to wait until I got home to study the photo’s and the bird books and the Cornell web site to finally identify this bird as a White-eyed Vireo.

Without seeing the white ring around the pupil we’d never know that it was a White-eyed Vireo. Great capture on ‘film’!
