I caught this cute little guy this fall in my sister-in-law’s backyard while visiting her in Oregon. I love his round, little body and loose feathers. The fruticose lichen on the tree branch, I thought, helped to make it a fun shot.

Wide-eyed, fuzzball, Chestnut-backed Chickadee with lichen branch.
Great, expressive shot! Good job at capturing this image when both eyes of the chickadee were catching the light and stand out in the dark cap, something that I usually find very challenging. I also love the warm colors and the composition.
