Description

An egret rookery is located in the midst of Dallas on about six acres north of downtown. In March, nest building and mating activities are in full swing, and the trees where the nests are located have not leafed out yet, which allows for good viewing. It’s always fascinating to watch and photograph these beautiful birds coming and going, finding and bringing back twigs to add to their nests, and performing their mating dances.
