Sparrows can sometimes be tricky to identify because there are so many varieties. This one threw me–I believe it’s either a Song Sparrow or Fox Sparrow.
Category 8: Boring is Beautiful
This little guy appeared in our yard one day, but I wasn't sure if he was a Song Sparrow or Fox Sparrow. Does anyone know?
I vote it is a Fox Sparrow.
A beauty! Another vote for fox. The streaks are made up of chevrons unlike any song sparrow I have seen.
