Description

This Mute Swan (Cygnus olor) is a very common sight (and frequently photographed) at Washington Crossing, PA. There is a pair that can almost always be found on the lagoon or the adjacent Delaware Canal year round! Although this bird is beautiful, Mute Swans are not native to North America and I have seen them chase Canada Goose from the pond – That is quite a sight!
