This photo was taken on Thanksgiving Day, 2018. It was a freezing cold day here on Long Island, which meant that there was lots of activity at ye merry olde watering hole, aka our heated birdbath. I snapped a few photos of this little titmouse as he hopped along the edge of the birdbath, seemingly deciding on the best spot to stop and take a drink, when, suddenly, he paused and looked up right at me. I snapped his photo just in time — seconds later, he had a quick drink and then flew on his way. Happy Thanksgiving, little friend!
