Description

While visiting the Las Vegas valley in the middle of July heat, I knew that my best chances of seeing some really cool birds would be to find the patches of water around the desert. I found a really cool park with some smaller ponds and while walking around, I kept hearing the chirp of what sounded like a cardinal. I knew that cardinals typically weren’t found that far out West so I kept alert. The next thing I knew, a beautiful flash of blue burst by and landed in the tree nearby. He began singing his little heart out, while melting mine!
