Description

The downy woodpecker is by far one of the most friendly and curious birds in my yard. I’m blessed to have 6 downy woodpeckers this year. As I walk to the feeders to feed them, they stick around until I’m almost at the feeder. Last year I had a peanut feeder and held it up and a downy flew to it and started eating from it while I was holding it in the air. Birds bring me so much joy, just like this male Downy Woodpecker!
