It was quite comical! This immature Downy Woodpecker decided this cup of seed was all his, and despite several feeders nearby, our resident Northern Cardinal had to wait until the juvenile was good and ready to leave his post. The cardinal was a good sport just observing while the downy sat in the bowl and watched him, frequently without even eating the seeds.
