Description

This shot was gotten on a dark overcast day along
Salt River in Anderson County KY. This little fella
was having a field day feeding on a massive Mayfly
hatch that was taking place. After each sortie, he would
return to this perch and belt out a series of calls.
The overcast on this day gave him almost a ‘glow.’
This little fella was not camera/people shy in the least either!
Of all the species of warblers that either nest and/or pass
through Central KY; this specie is hands down my very
favorite of the bunch – to me they epitomize all that is
wonderful about Spring.
