Three Short-billed Dowitchers (I think they are Sort-billed – supporting or contrary opinions welcome) and a Marbled Godwit fly along the shoreline at the Tofino mudflats in Clayoquot Sound. This is immediately in front of my brother-in-law’s house. We were in a canoe. From my point of view, he has a comfortable house in the most wonderful location imaginable for a birder.
