Bushtits are my favorite backyard visitor. When a flock invades the yard, I always smile. As I watch them forage, I wonder what kind of social order and communication they have.

Hi, Jessica,
I’m a fellow Portlander smiling at the bushtits, too. I have found that the “All bugs” kind of suet from Garden Fever or Back Yard Bird shop is a big draw for these little fellows. If one is there many more follow it to cover the suet cage with their bodies, upside down, sideways, and otherwise.
