Description

Each spring, the Cedar Waxwing flocks arrive to strip remaining berries from the trees and shrubs across my garden. This photo was taken from my home office window in April 2020, just as we were staying home more than ever and could really observe our home habitat surroundings. After the rest of its flock consumed the holly berries on this shrub, this straggler Waxwing found what appears to be the last berry left — the way it looks at it seems like it’s discovered a prized ruby jewel.
