Description

It was already April, but it had been snowing all night and still into the next day, and the birds were hungry. Especially little birds, which need energy from food to stay warm. So the goldfinches were out looking for something to eat. This handsome male American Goldfinch, all decked out in his spring breeding plumage, was awaiting his turn at the nyger feeder in my back yard. Isn’t he beautiful?!
