One of the advantages of providing water sources are the number of non-seed eating birds that can be attracted. Loggerhead Shrike are song birds that exhibit raptor habits. They eat beetles, rodents, lizards and even other birds, often impaling their prey on a yucca or barbed wire fence in order to eat it
