I was visiting the Waco Wetlands with my sister a couple summers ago and this Painted Bunting flew toward some tall grass. I was not sure if it was in the grass or on the ground on the other side. As I turned the corner, I saw no bunting on the ground. Then a moment later it stuck its head through the chain-link fence.
