Description

This past spring having some extra spare time,
I decided to try to get some more ‘intimate’ pictures
of a population of Bobolinks here in Central KY
during the breeding period. I had some luck getting several
clean shots of the males doing their thing during courtship
and the nesting period but just couldn’t seem to get a female
to come clean until the very last morning before hay baling
was to begin on parts of this field. Until this moment I had had
zero luck getting the females in the clear, let alone close
enough for a shot. Once again, a little serendipity is a good
thing.
