Description

I love the spunky and energetic nature of Dark-eyed Juncos. As many as 20 visit our backyard daily, and today a hawk caught one. Although I understand the cycle of life, I felt sad as I watched the feathers float in the air and land in the snow they seem to enjoy so much. This photo is in remembrance of a little friend who won’t be going back home.
