Madera Canyon, AZ, USA
While I was in Madera Canyon in Arizona, I saw this female Rufous Hummingbirds. As she flew up to a feeder, I took this photo. The sun was setting so it was a little dark and I was using a slower shutter speed than I normally use for hummingbirds but I like the effect it had on the wings. Normally, I view female hummingbirds to be very drab but in this photo, she looks just as colorful as a male.
