A colourful visitor to my yard.
Category 1: Birds with Food, or at the Feeder
I had several Western Tanagers visit my yard last spring. The Tanagers visited and enjoyed fresh oranges everyday for almost three weeks. I went through at least 40 oranges feeding the Tanagers and other birds, a welcome and colourful visitor to my yard.
I love the bright colours in Jan’s photo. The baby looks inquisitive as if he’s checking out the area around his orange treat!

I love the colour contrast in Jan’s photo!! This little bird looks like he is really going to enjoy the orange all to himself.
What beautiful colours this bird iis. And the close up really shows its structure and colours beautifully.
