Description

This beautifully colored male American Kestrel came swooping out of the sky, scattering all the birds feeding in my yard. He rested in our Aspen tree for a few minutes, but flew off after being scared off by the Cooper’s Hawk who has been regularly visiting. The Cooper’s hawk actually landed in the same spot! It was 6 degrees with feel like temp of -3 on January 20, 2025.
