Male American Kestrel visited my yard Jan 7, during my regular Feeder Watch. 2 strong face markings, grey wings, brown spotted back, long brown tail with single band. First for my yard. Sat on the fence and ate his kill. Watched him for about 20 minutes through my binoculars. Sorry for the poor quality pictures- taken with my ipad through the patio doors. But a beautiful bird.
