Description

Bald Eagle at creek adjacent to count site April 5th, 2020 – eating a dead beaver. We have seen Bald Eagles occasionally fly over the count site very high in the air but never have we seen one land on the ground in the 33 years we have been watching. We wonder if this is because there were fewer cars on the nearby roadways due to Covid-19 social distancing, so maybe it felt more comfortable landing?
