Vancouver Island University has banded 400 Canada Geese with large easy to read neck bands and has asked birdwatchers to report their locations so they can study the birds feeding and migration patterns.

In the 1980s I saw banded Canada geese in Waltham and Plymouth Massachusetts with yellow neck bands and black lettering. One I saw year to year for several years was K78J and K86J. Any idea who did that project?
