Not only did I get to see this beautiful Brown Creeper on the side of a tree during its migration pit stop, but for the first time, I saw this species go down onto the sidewalk to snatch insects that fell from an American Elm! It was so unusual to see this species alongside the newly arrived White-throated Sparrows, a Field Sparrow that had arrived overnight, and the remaining Dark-eyed Juncos.
