I have recently become thoroughly consumed and enamored with bird watching. Many new feathered friends visit daily and continue to bring new buddies. One humming bird pretty much comes right up to me and some of the house finches and lesser goldfinches wait until I replenish their feeders and are perfectly comfortable with my being next to them.

The first time I saw a Gilded Flicker, my mouth was agape. What a magnificent specimen…like admiring a beautiful painting.

I have recently bought a new camera and learning the art of photography. Hopefully as I develop the skill of shooting, I will be able to share exciting pictures with other birders. I very much look forward to this new wonderful hobby.
