This little Screech Owl was perched in a tree that was close to the lake. The owl was spotted by a Blue Jay and two Cardinals so it was very noisy for a bit. After they left the Screech Owl perched with squinted eyes and hopefully wasn’t harassed too much. It was a very beautiful owl.
Predatory birds
It turns out that this was a mother owl with three fledglings! I recently posted a picture of the mother owl with her babies.
