Unfortunately this bird hit my window today (2-15-16). I think it may be a Merlin, but I’ve never seen one here and it is not time for their migration through this area. I don’t think it’s a sharp shinned hawk, which are common here, nor a kestrel, which I see occasionally. Could someone help to ID?
