I prefer to keep the Blue Jays away from my feeders, because they are big birds and big eaters. So, I spread a generous amount of cracked corn, which is cheap, and they love it, in the farthest part of my yard (I’ve got a big yard) and that usually does a good job of attracting the Jays. But occasionally they still make a raid on one of my tray feeders.
