Description

A sharp-shinned hawk swooped down and grabbed a female northern cardinal near one of our feeders mid-morning Wednesday February 12, 2020. Held the female until she died and then flew off with carcass maybe 50 ft. where it landed in a shrubby area. It or another returned later in the day and was seen high in a nearby tree overlooking the feeder area.
