Description

I have been counting birds for Project Feeder Watch for seven years and only recently noticed Blue Jays in my yard. My father, who lives thirty miles east of me, observed them in his yard several years ago. Living in north central Montana near the Canadian Border we welcome the beautiful blue color during the duller winter months. The beautiful contrast of blue makes up for their shrill call. I was excited when I caught both Jays together.
