Description

I was doing some work outside, when, upon coming around a corner of my house, I was surprised to see a pair of Canada Geese in my yard. I live in the country and my “yard” has no fences, but is bordered on two sides by woods, and in front by 900 feet of meadow with a pond in the middle. Ducks and geese very often land in the pond, but never before have any approached my house, much less come right into the yard. I reversed my course, went inside and got my camera in hopes that the geese would still be close when I again went outside. Naturally, upon seeing me again, the pair decided to take off immediately, so these were the only photos I was able to get.
