Description

I believe that this Carolina Chickadee is a young bird, because it seems that young birds haven’t yet gotten down how to properly preen their feathers. At least, it has been my experience that the newly hatched birds that appear at my feeders in the Spring and Summer each year are not nearly as attractive as the birds that I’ve seen for the rest of the year.
