I found this Carolina Wren asleep predawn (6am) this morning as I began my feeder routine. I’ve heard wrens scrambling under this sidedoor canopy evenings and dawns in Winter for the last two years. An odd shelter, but the bird finds it desirable in all but frigid conditions.
