A flock of common redpolls, looking for a food source, with deep snow, low temps & windchill, and ice on ground. They were happy to join other flock birds that day, for a fruit and nut delight, which I served up when I saw they were flying around in the trees outside of my house.

First common redpolls at my deck in Troy, VT..A flock of 20 or more were there with other birds (snow buntings). Gettting a good image of a flock eating is hard to do!
