Description

Had the chance to see these cowbird youngling being fed by the towhee parents. Both the towhee parents were busy feeding the two cowbird babies who kept following the parents. I saw them feeding meal worms too to the cowbird younglings…And also since the cowbird is not a ground forager, the younglings would sit on the perches and that forced the towhee parent to sit on these perches, otherwise the towhees are always on the ground foraging.

Confusion..

One reply on “Confusion..”

Texas Bird Family says:

Cowbirds are ground foragers, however, this baby probably just couldn’t figure out how to feed itself.
