A little while ago a doe and her new fawn came out of the woods in front of my house. The little fawn was just plain cute, running around mom, springing and pronking with excess energy. They circled my house and started toward the usual deer path behind; that path is now blocked by a newly fallen tree blown down in a recent storm, so they had to reenter the woods via a different route.
