Description

I have never had a hawk visitor before–now I have one making regular visits. Today he sat on a branch near me and we watched each other. From what I have read, I believe he is a juvenile Cooper’s Hawk claiming his territory.
The yellow eyes and breast feathers fit descriptions that I looked up. I enlarged picture to show breast markings because I think they are so beautiful! Shadow from a branch kept it from being a really great picture–but I am happy to have such a nice visit.
