I put out orange halves for the catbird. It took a few days, but now all the House Sparrows are eating the oranges. They eat half an orange in four hours, and some even prefer this over peanuts! I read it was rare for sparrows to eat oranges, but maybe I have exceptional sparrows. Has anyone else encountered this?
