We have 4 families of Great Northern Flickers close by out home. They feed sparsley during the summer months around our vegetable gardens, but they really start coming by in the late fall and throughout the winter. We have a large back deck which is covered with flowers from mid spring to early fall, and then it is transformed into a feeding habitat for the winter birds. This big fella was feeding heavily at one of our hanging suet boxes and just took off. My wife had her 70-300 lens on her Canon T3i and just happened to be swinging by when the big fella jumped off the feeder.

I’ll Give Em A Show…
