Is This A Cooper’s Hawk Or A Sharp-Shinned Hawk?

This hawk has been scaring off many birds from my feeders.

Christine O'Donnell says:

I would guess Cooper’s because of the striping and the relatively heavy feet. Lovely bird!

Holly Faulkner, Project Assistant says:

Try out Tricky Bird ID tool, for Cooper’s vs. Sharp-shinned Hawks!

John Gillies says:

I think it’s a Cooper’s. if you saw the tail, the Sharp-shinned has distinctly squared tail feathers versus the more rounded tail of the Cooper’s.

Ava says:

Cooper’s hawks are about the size of a crow with a large head and large feet. Sharp-shinned Hawks are smaller, more the size of a blue jay with a more proportionate head size and smaller feet.
